After a string of eight wins, Diamond Bar's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marlborough Mustangs.

Diamond Bar's offense was headlined by Kristen Yang and Evaline Kim, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Brooke Lam and her six assists. Finally, Sarah Banuelos kept Diamond Bar's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

It was another big night for Tatawan Vongfak, who had 15 digs and two assists for Marlborough.

Diamond Bar's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Marlborough, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Diamond Bar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against King on the 6th. As for Marlborough, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Flintridge Sacred Heart on the 6th.
