It was a good run, but Bushland unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Dalhart Wolves by a score of 6-5. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 20-1.

Colton Reynolds made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Max Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Bushland's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-10. As for Dalhart, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bushland will host River Road at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Bushland is facing River Road at the right time seeing as River Road is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Dalhart, they will be playing at home against Tulia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Dalhart's pitchers better be ready for this one: Tulia has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
