Basketball Game Preview: Andover Central Jaguars vs. Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders

The Andover Central Jaguars will challenge the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Andover Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Andover Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging an 84-41 victory over Goddard. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Lions are ranked 186th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jayden Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Those six assists gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Jefferson, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Kapaun Mt. Carmel was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 45-41 to Northwest. The game marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Andover Central, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
