Soccer Recap: Cornerstone Christian Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Cornerstone Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Cornerstone Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 381st, while St. Joseph-Ogden are ranked 150th).

Cornerstone Christian's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their win bumped their record up to 21-1-2.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Christian will square off against Illinois Valley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Joseph-Ogden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
