Baseball Recap: DuPont Manual Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pleasure Ridge Park, DuPont Manual was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the Graves County Eagles 9-8. The Crimsons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Nick Ballard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was John(Trey) Boylan, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

DuPont Manual's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Graves County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DuPont Manual will host South Oldham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Graves County, they will be playing at home against Stevenson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
