Taylor County came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 73-56 win over the Central Hawks. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Hawks are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brayden Ellison was his usual excellent self, putting up 19 points. Marcal Myles was another key player, scoring ten points.

Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Sema J Copeland, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarcus White, who earned ten points.

Taylor County's record is now 20-3. As for Central, their record is now 15-12.

Coming up, Taylor County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chattahoochee County at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Chattahoochee County likes a good challenge. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
