Basketball Game Preview: JAG Jaguars vs. Auburn Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the JAG Jaguars challenge the Auburn Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday... JAG is looking for their season's first victory.

JAG lost 49-29 to Booker T. Washington on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Auburn unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 65-50 to Park Crossing. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Thunderbirds are ranked third).

Auburn's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2. As for JAG, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

JAG took a serious blow against Auburn in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, falling 62-28. Thankfully for JAG, Olivia Porter (who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
