After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waterford, Valley Regional was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the East Hampton Bellringers. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: East Hampton scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.

Nia Marchese paced Valley Regional's offense, picking up 11 kills. Marchese got some help from Kellyn Kolber and her 25 assists. Marchese was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Valley Regional's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for East Hampton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
