Landon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Episcopal Maroon by a score of 9-6 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Zach Burstein made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Burstein was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on James Gibson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Jaxon Garon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Landon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive games.

Landon's record now sits at 18-9. As for Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17-1.

Looking ahead, Landon will head out on the road to square off against St. Albans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
