Basketball Game Preview: South Spencer Rebels vs. Tecumseh Braves

South Spencer hasn't had much luck against Tecumseh recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rebels will venture away from home to take on the Braves at 7:00 p.m. South Spencer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, South Spencer blew past Evansville Bosse, posting a 69-19 victory. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Alexis Harris was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-12 on her way to 18 points and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylea Donoho, who shot 83% from the field to rack up 11 points and seven boards.

South Spencer was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Tecumseh had to suffer through a 53-24 loss at the hands of Barr-Reeve.

Hazel Melton was the Braves' leading scorer, having posted ten points. Melton also led the team in rebounds with nine.

Tecumseh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for South Spencer, their record now sits at 4-2.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: South Spencer hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.3 points per game. It's a different story for Tecumseh, though, as they've been averaging only 30 points. The only thing between South Spencer and another offensive beatdown is the Braves. Will they be able to keep them contained?

South Spencer came up short against Tecumseh in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 51-42. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
