Softball Game Preview: New Dorp Central Cougars vs. Curtis Warriors

The New Dorp Central Cougars will challenge the Curtis Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. New Dorp will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, New Dorp turned things around against Port Richmond on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 19-2 victory. Considering the Central Cougars have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Curtis couldn't beat Tottenville on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Warriors lost 14-8 to the Pirates.

Curtis has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season. As for New Dorp, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
