Basketball Recap: Stringer Comes Up Short

Stringer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Olive Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, with their most recent loss being a 42-40 defeat last Friday.

Stringer's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Mount Olive, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season.

Stringer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Olive, they will head out to face off against Nanih Waiya at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nanih Waiya knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Mount Olive likes a good challenge.
