After only two runs in their last game, Le Roy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Avon on Wednesday. The Oatkan Knights put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Oatkan Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Le Roy got a great performance from Luke Lathan as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jake Higgins, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Brady McClurg, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

Le Roy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Avon only posted a batting average of .143.

Le Roy's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Avon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Le Roy will square off against Geneseo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Oatkan Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Avon, they will take on Letchworth at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves are facing the Legends at the right time seeing as the Legends are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
