Mooresville had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lake Norman Wildcats. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Mooresville was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18.

Gia Lowe paced Mooresville's offense, picking up 14 kills. Lowe got some help from Siena DiTomas and her 16 assists. Tianna Chiriga controlled things from the service line, finishing with 11 aces.

Harper Burkett and Madeline Darnell certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Burkett had eight digs and two aces, while Darnell had five kills and three digs.

Mooresville's record is now 11-2. As for Lake Norman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Mooresville will square off against North Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Norman, they will challenge West Forsyth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
