Volleyball Recap: Nimitz Vikings vs. Richardson Eagles

Nimitz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Richardson Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

While Nimitz had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Winnie Goodson, who had 17 digs.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Richardson, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nimitz will venture away from home to face off against Irving at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Richardson, they will head out on the road to square off against Lake Highlands at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Highlands will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Richardson surely won't give up without a fight.
