Baseball Recap: Stayton Gets the Win

While Stayton's win against St. Helens wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Lions on Thursday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Stayton's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. Helens, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Stayton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-5 victory against Gladstone on the 4th. As for St. Helens, they will host Tillamook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cheesemakers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
