Basketball Recap: Granada Takes a Loss

Granada lost against Kim/Branson back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Granada Bobcats lost to the Kim/Branson Mustangs at home by a 66-50 margin.

Despite the loss, Granada still got an impressive performance from Maddox Coleman, who went 13-for-19 on his way to 29 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Coleman now owns an excellent 46.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Fernando Cadena, who went 5-for-12 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Granada's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Kim/Branson, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Granada and Kim/Branson will both be playing South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] the next time they take the court. Kim/Branson will head out to face South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Granada will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
