Baseball Game Preview: John Carroll Patriots vs. Loyola Blakefield Dons

For the second straight game, John Carroll will face off against Loyola Blakefield. The Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times John Carroll and Loyola Blakefield have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Dons by a score of 12-8.

Kiernan Deremeik looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Dallas Brooks was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brycen Altland, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.

Loyola Blakefield's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for John Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5-2.
