Basketball Game Preview: Drummond Bulldogs vs. Okeene Whippets

The Drummond Bulldogs will head out to take on the Okeene Whippets at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Drummond is headed into the match having just posted their biggest victory since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They breezed past Ringwood to the tune of 74-38. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Okeene entered their tilt with Burlington on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Elks with a sharp 60-35 win.

Drummond is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points over those games. As for Okeene, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Everything came up roses for Drummond against Okeene in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Drummond since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
