Softball Recap: Taravella Comes Up Short

If Taravella was feeling good fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Boyd Anderson last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojan Man lost 18-4 to the Stoneman Douglas Eagles on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojan Man of the 19-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Taravella's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Stoneman Douglas, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Taravella will venture away from home to face off against Coral Glades at 5:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Stoneman Douglas, they will head out to challenge West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulls have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
