Soccer Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Skyview after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Gateway Olympians by a score of 2-1. Skyview were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gateway apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Skyview's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5-1. As for Gateway, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-1.

Looking ahead, Skyview will host Thornton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gateway, they will face off against Adams City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway's defense better be ready for this one: Adams City have averaged an impressive 2.9 goals per game this season.
