Softball Recap: Bonney Lake Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bethel on Monday, Bonney Lake came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 9-3 to the Emerald Ridge Jaguars on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost five in a row.

Hallie Beers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Bonney Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Emerald Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Coming up, Bonney Lake will challenge Graham-Kapowsin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Emerald Ridge, they will take on Rogers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jaguars 3.4, the Rams 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
