Sutter came out on top against Colfax on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Huskies took their contest against the Falcons 8-4. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Devin Murphy looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landyn Singh, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Callison, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Sutter's record now sits at 2-0. As for Colfax, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1-1.

Coming up, Sutter will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Hughson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Colfax, they will head out on the road to take on Nevada Union at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 3.7, the Miners 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
