Football Recap: Mayde Creek Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Mayde Creek was feeling good fresh off their 47-16 takedown of Morton Ranch last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell 23-16 to the Cinco Ranch Cougars on Thursday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the loss, Mayde Creek still got an impressive performance from Chad Nelson, who picked up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 57 yards.

Brayden Gonzalez went supernova For Cinco Ranch., rushing for 162 yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Gonzalez posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Mayde Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Cinco Ranch, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
