Baseball Recap: Overton Find Success

Overton hadn't done well against Hillsboro recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bobcats walked away with a 10-6 win over the Burros. The game was the first time the Bobcats have beaten the Burros on their field since March 12th.

Overton got a great performance from Cristian Estrada-Rivas as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Patrick Ware, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Landen Griffey was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Overton's record is now 19-16. As for Hillsboro, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 20-9 record.

Overton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Green Hill on the 10th. Hillsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
