Softball Recap: River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats vs. West Carroll Thunder

With a playoff game on the line, River Ridge/Scales Mound rose to the challenge on Monday. They had just enough and edged the West Carroll Thunder out 11-10. That result was just more of the same for these two, as River Ridge/Scales Mound also won the last time the pair played back in April.

Laiken Haas spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. Those nine innings set a new season-high mark for her.
