Scott waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Boone County Rebels. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.
Ashlyn Riley made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Riley was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Scott got a big performance out of Savanna Ruf, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those two hits gave Ruf a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lainey Jones, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
