Football Recap: South Rowan Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

South Rowan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They snuck past the Union Academy Cardinals with a 14-10 victory. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The critical scores for South Rowan came from Nick Woolf Jr. and Bryan Velasquez.

When it comes to explaining why Union Academy lost, don't look at Jaequan Timmons. Despite the final result, he picked up 99 receiving yards and one score.

South Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-26 victory against Langtree Charter Academy on the 29th. As for Union Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln Charter at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
