With a playoff win on the line, Encampment rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 59-50 victory over the Southeast Cyclones. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Cyclones back in February, they had to take a 43-39 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Southeast lost, don't look at Ayden Desmond. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Desmond is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Beaux Shimic, who posted ten points.

Encampment's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Southeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-13.

Encampment didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-29 loss against Cokeville on the 8th. Southeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
