Edison hasn't had much luck against Booker T. Washington recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will host the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Edison is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.
Edison is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Glenpool with a sharp 22-4 win on Saturday. Considering the Eagles have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Henry O'Meilia made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Edison let Beckett Greteman and Linken Frank run wild. Greteman went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Frank got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Greteman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Boston Little, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Edison lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Booker T. Washington's offense. They lost 23-0 to Sapulpa on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Chieftains: they've now lost nine in a row.
Booker T. Washington's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 19-12.
