Football Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shelby County last Friday, Lafayette came back down to earth. The Generals took a 26-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Jessamine Colts on Friday. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lafayette now has a losing record of 2-3. As for West Jessamine, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette will face off against East Jessamine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Generals are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for West Jessamine, they are taking a road trip to face off against George Rogers Clark at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
