It's playoff time, and Capistrano Valley Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mammoth Huskies on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

While Capistrano Valley Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Hope Van Rensselear paced Capistrano Valley Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Van Rensselear got some help from McKenzie Meserve and her nine assists. Meserve was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Mammoth still got an impressive performance from Aspen Wight, who had 15 digs and two assists. Wight is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Capistrano Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-21-1. As for Mammoth, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 37-6-1.

Capistrano Valley Christian has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Immanuel on the 22nd. Mammoth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
