Volleyball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne and Poca squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Wayne had to settle for second. They came up short against the Dots, falling 3-0. The Pioneers just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Wayne was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-13.

Poca found their leader in sophomore Christiana Childers, who had eight digs.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 13-28-1. As for Poca, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 35-5-5.

As of now, neither Wayne nor the Dots have any future games scheduled.
