Baseball Recap: Perry Falls Short Against Ranked Casteel

Perry faced Casteel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Pumas lost 11-5 to the Colts. The Pumas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luke Calendo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Max DeFrancesco, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Casteel, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

While Perry had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
