Citrus Hill has gone 8-1-1 against Hemet recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Citrus Hill Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Hemet Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Citrus Hill's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Citrus Hill didn't have quite enough to beat Paloma Valley and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Hemet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Arlington. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 974th, while the Lions are ranked 22nd).

Hemet's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Citrus Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-9 record this season.

Citrus Hill took their victory against Hemet in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Citrus Hill since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
