Volleyball Recap: Ellington's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ellington waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Doniphan Dons with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Whippets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-20.

Megan Copeland paced Ellington's offense, picking up 13 kills. Copeland got some help from Tayleigh Cowin and her 32 assists. Bella Pogue controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Ellington's record now sits at 27-4-1. As for Doniphan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18-1 record this season.

Ellington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bunker on the 20th. Doniphan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
