You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Trinity Lutheran's strategy against Southwestern on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cougars blew the Spartans out of the water with a 72-15 final score. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Trinity Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MARLEY WARREN, who went 7-for-17 on her way to 18 points along with seven assists and five boards. RACHEL BONDE was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Trinity Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Southwestern saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bryla Dunbar posted six points.

Trinity Lutheran's record now sits at 3-1. As for Southwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
