Simon Kenton lost against Covington Catholic back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pioneers fell 6-3 to the Colonels. The Pioneers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Simon Kenton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Uhl, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Simon Kenton's loss dropped their record down to 12-6-3. As for Covington Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Simon Kenton and Covington Catholic will both be playing St. Henry the next time they take the field. The Colonels will host the Crusaders at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Pioneers will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
