Victory Christian had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors by a score of 8-7. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Victory Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Hudson, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave Hudson a new career-high in runs.

The win made it two in a row for Tuscaloosa Home Educators and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.
