Elliott Murphy's Big Game Leads Powhatan over Richmond City School of the Arts

Starting off the list is Powhatan's Elliott Murphy, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Murphy rushed for 104 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

The win (which was Powhatan's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. Murphy and Powhatan will challenge Dinwiddie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gross Posts Huge Game in 30-22 Defeat

While Midlothian might've come up empty on Friday, Gibson Gross wasn't going down without a fight. L.C. Bird had no answer to Gross as he threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

On the year, Gross has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 152.8 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season, he had eight passing touchdowns.
