Softball Recap: Opp's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

It's playoff time, and Opp had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the W.S. Neal Eagles on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won 22 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Bradleigh Lanier was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Crislyn Birge was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Opp always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Opp's eighth in a row) raised their record to 32-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for W.S. Neal, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-19.

Opp wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Satsuma on the 6th. W.S. Neal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
