Wharton came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Middleton Tigers to the tune of 63-33. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Wharton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wesley Vanzant, who went 6 for 7 en route to 13 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Oliver, who posted four points along with eight assists and five steals.

Wharton was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

When it comes to explaining why Middleton lost, don't look at Sherrick Oliver. Despite the final result, he earned 13 points. Another player making a difference was Darrion Marchman, who had eight points.

Wharton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Middleton, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Wharton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-41 victory against Hillsborough on the 14th. As for Middleton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 87-67 loss against Strawberry Crest on the 14th.
