Aydden Cherry Turns in Season-Best Performance

West Stokes came up short on Friday despite Aydden Cherry delivering his best game to date. Cherry rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.

The defeat snapped West Stokes' winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-2 record. Cherry and West Stokes will host McMichael at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Dionte Neal Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Dionte Neal produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Reidsville to the win on Friday. Neal rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.4% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The victory for Reidsville keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Neal and Reidsville are taking a road trip to square off against Walkertown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jariel Cobb and Co. Win 19th in a Row

Reidsville picked up their 19th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jariel Cobb. Cobb turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 178 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 37 receiving yards. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards.

Unfortunately for West Stokes, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Cobb. When Cobb last faced the Wildcats back in November of 2023, he rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.

Carter Posts Huge Game in 24-14 Victory

Braxton Carter was a major factor in Morehead's win over T.W. Andrews on Friday. Carter turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 107 yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Morehead's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 0-5 when he doesn't).

Morehead's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. Carter and Morehead will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Another Game with at Least Seven Total Tackles from Camereon Cartlidge

Camereon Cartlidge continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his seventh-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least seven total tackles. He picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The victory (which was Walkertown's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Cartlidge and Walkertown will face off against Reidsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
