Baseball Recap: Armijo Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Armijo and Wood meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Royals fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Chase Lewis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Juan Uscanga was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Armijo's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7-1. As for Wood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-9.

Armijo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-4 victory against Valley on the 8th. As for Wood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Clayton Valley Charter on the 5th.
