Football Game Preview: St. Charles Bulldogs vs. Carson City-Crystal Eagles

The St. Charles Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Carson City-Crystal Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Charles has given up an average of 39.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Charles is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Merrill on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bulldogs were outmatched by the Vandals and fell 48-12. Having soared to a lofty 41 points in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Carson City-Crystal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 44-20 to Marion.

St. Charles' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Carson City-Crystal, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.

St. Charles beat Carson City-Crystal 32-24 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
