Soccer Recap: Albany Comes Up Short

Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Columbia Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, Albany can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Columbia are ranked 21st).

Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Columbia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Albany will take on rival Schenectady at 5:00 p.m. on October 9. Meanwhile, Columbia is set to face off against their familiar foe Guilderland at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
