Recap: Roxborough Wolves vs. Thomas A. Edison Owls
The Roxborough Wolves entered their tilt with the Thomas A. Edison Owls with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Roxborough walked away with a 60-49 victory over Thomas A. Edison on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Roxborough also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.
Roxborough had a senior duo take command as Sherrod Nelson dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds and Stefan Phillips dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Sahir Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Roxborough's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Thomas A. Edison, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
Roxborough will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tacony Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. Tacony Academy Charter comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Thomas A. Edison, they will head out on the road to square off against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
