Recap: Philip Barbour Colts vs. Shady Spring Tigers
The Philip Barbour Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 32 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Shady Spring 67-12 on the road. The win was just business as usual for Philip Barbour, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Philip Barbour to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylee Bodkins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. Bodkins is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Arrington Sparks was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals.
Philip Barbour's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Shady Spring, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Philip Barbour and Fairmont Senior will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fairmont Senior comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Shady Spring will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Bluefield at 1:00 p.m. on January 3rd. Bluefield is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
