Stark County had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Princeville Princes. That's two games straight that the Rebels have won by just one run.

Brooklynn Ostrowski spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hallie Newton, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Cambri Holmstrom, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Stark County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princeville only posted a batting average of .212.

Stark County's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Princeville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 18 of their last 21 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-25 record this season.
