Baseball Recap: Chenango Valley Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chenango Valley's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Waverly Wolverines on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Chenango Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Michalko, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Michalko has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Chenango Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Waverly, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

While Chenango Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
